The Simple Calendar Maker can be used to create, edit and print calendars in HTML format. This is usefull, as html code for calendar calendar is easy to customize and often you can use it as part of your own Web site. The following is an example of the html code for calendar, produced by the Simple Calendar Maker. To save space, only one month is shown. 2003
Make Your Own Calendar: Selecting a different yearTo select a different year in our Calendar Creator Software, click on the two digit number at the top of the page. The new calendar, containing new events will be created.
Make Your Own Calendar: Changing the lookThe HTML code for calendar produced by Simple Calendar Maker can be customized. At the top of the Simple Calendar Maker design calendar page you will see the "Options..." link. Click on it to open the calendar properties dialog box. Using this dialog box requires only minimum knowlege of HTML.
The first combo box allows you to select the dimentions of the calendar grid, how many months per column should be displayed. The second combo box allows to select the size of the font, sometimes, for example, when you want to print large calendar, you will need large characters. The separator is an HTML construction, and if you wnat, you can do without them. The first separator is displayed after each year (which means - once). It can be a separator bar, a picture, or even a sound - anything that is valid in HTML. The second separator is displayed as frequently, as you select in the "Separators and groups" combobox. For example, if you use 3 columns per 4 rows table, the logical choice will be to display a separator every 3 months (after each row). For example, lets put the <img src="images/separator_01.gif"> line into this field. The separator image appears between each group (in this case there are 3 months in a group).
The 3rd separator is displayed after each day. Also, in the DATA subdirectory of the Calendar folder, you will find the
CAL_FOOTER.TXT and CAL_HEADER.TXT files. Edit them to change the
look of the resulting calendar. For example, by replacing the line
Note 1: as an alternative to setting font size in a Simple Calendar Maker, you can use built-in features of the Internet Explorer, for example, you can zoom the page by using CTRL-mouse wheel. Note 2: Sometimes the calendar does not fit on a page, or you simply do not want to print the "select year" header. Uncheck the corresponding item in Tools menu of the calendar creator software to make the unnecessary header disappear.
